Disclaimer: While this is a rather short piece, it has quite a lot of foul language and some adult content. This is not suitable for children.
So Linda is a ghost, a very unhappy ghost. She cannot rest since she cannot find her body. This is the story of Linda, though it is not told just by Linda. The story itself is told from many different perspectives, including Linda’s boyfriend Mike. Each chapter is told from a different perspective as the clues to the mystery are revealed. While this is an interesting way to tell the story, I honestly got confused as to who was speaking at points. I think if the story was a bit longer it would have worked perfectly.
I found the story quite humorous and entertaining, but thought the amount of f-bombs was a little overdone. I can understand it since I know a lot of people that speak like that, but it put me off a bit. I really kept reading to find out what happened to her body. Since the work is so short, I completed it in about 30-60 minutes. Let me tell you the ending is a bit of a shocker. If you are looking for a funny quick read about a ghost, this is the work for you.
Glad you had fun with it, at least except for the word choices. ;) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun and a nice break from longer, more involved pieces. A great thing to read around Halloween.
